Probably some of the best pupusas in the area and you can't beat the price per pupusas. The people who work here are kind and awesome. Definitely recommend.

Very good food we have beef soup out of this world and also we the taco's al pastor and the pupusas.... And the waitress very friendly 100 % recommended

I love pupusas and these are excellent! My wife and daughter eat gluten-free and this is a great option. I've been back 3 times.

Great place to go. Alittle light on the seating but they do it right. We had to wait 10-15min for a table to open up at lunch but the service and food was worth it. Had several Papusas and a grilled chicken platter. This place is definitely a fine for the books.

The pupusas here are some of the best ones I've ever had in my life. Extremely flavorful and tender. The service is also excellent. They treat you like family.

The best pupusas in town!!! We have tried chicken, mixed with pork and cheese and they are the best. We absolutely love this place and so happy we found it!!!!

On the latest Trenton Eat Local gathering we celebrated my birthday at another new addition to the Trenton restaurant scene. It was a packed house in the dining room on an early Wednesday evening. We were all excited to try Salvadoran food. I ordered shrimp pupusa and cheese pupusa. Pupusa is their specialty. It's corn tortillas stuffed with whatever you choose. F ordered the chicken fajitas. I do think we overwhelmed the hard-working kitchen and wait staff, but they were so lovely. We had to wait a bit for our orders but we love chatting and socializing. When our food finally arrived it was worth the wait. The pupusas were hot and cheesy. Delicious! 2 pupusas were more than enough for me. I took some home. When F's fajitas arrived it was like an event! They were sizzling and smelled so delicious...and the flavor! Wonderful! Pupuseria is now on the "go-to" list when we are craving that flavorful goodness.

Not sure what I wanted to eat, but knew I wanted to try something new, I consulted Yelp and somehow saw the first review for this very good Salvadoran spot, not far from the burbs. Although not very well versed in this specific cuisine, I have fond memories of a Pupuseria in SJ., from another chapter of my life. I called in a takeout with just a little bit of a language barrier, eventually someone came on the line who could help. I ordered 3 different pups and an order of chicken tacos( kind of what I had in mind when I started looking at Yelp) There was very good street parking right in front of the long blue building. On the second try I found the correct door to enter( hint: it's the middle one) The interior was nicer than I anticipated, some granite and mosaic tile accents, and a clean and sleek dining room( yeah, there's a large screen in it too). My order was being bagged up with care as I was still trying to look around. But I can say that this would be a good choice to eat in. I rushed home while being bombarded with smells which were urging me to pullover and have a look/ taste. I did not relent. Once I got everything unpacked I did take 2 phots which did not quite capture the awesomeness that this meal was. Let's start with the tacos: the 3 were rolled up tightly in foil, they were literally steaming hot when unrolled. The meat was spilling from them they were so stuffed. I can't recall getting a larger portion anywhere. The bird had definitely been marinated and then charred on the flattop grill. Tender and juicy, but still seared here and there. The topping was just a little onion and cilantro, but included in the box was Pico, a tomatillo sauce and pickled veggies. All of these were utilized, the Pico was incredible, the tiniest diced tomatoes onions and peppers I've ever seen, the tomatillo was very good too, and a thick version. The pickled veggies took them to the apex of what great tacos can be. The Pupusas were also very good, they have quite a selection and this time I had the plain cheese, zucchini and bacon and cheese. All very good, the squash was my favorite though. Were these better than my SJ memories? Yes. Mainly because of the Curtido( the pickled slaw that comes with them) their version was a finer shred, and had more than just cabbage though I couldn't narrow down exactly what. The vinegar component was perfect, as were the herbs and slivered jalapeño. The red sauce for this dish was very good too. As I write this I'm tempted to return today, either for steak tacos or chicken guisado, or both! But prior plans will not allow. It's pretty safe to say I'm smitten.

You could walk or drive right by this place and not notice it but it is absolutely worth stopping in if you're looking for some great food. I never had Salvadoran food before, what a treat! We ordered the Yuca Frita con Chicharron, Yuca with hunks of pork and a cabbage slaw on the side, so delicious. We also got their Chicharron papusas, my husband got the Churrasco with plantains and I got the shrimp tacos. Everything was fresh and so, so tasty. The portions are large and we ended up taking a bunch of food home. We both had Horchatas and I will say they make very good Horchata. There was no room for dessert but next time I am going to be all over that flan. Our waitress was so sweet, we were not the typical patrons but I felt completely comfortable and welcomed by staff and other patrons. After all, enjoying good food is universal lol. Can't wait to go back and try more things.
